Morkali with Quinoa & Oats

Morkali typically made with rice flour and yogurt is a traditional patti's recipe. My mom used to make when we had sore throat, its easy to eat and digest.

This recipe is a healthier version using Quinoa & Oats. I like to eat it for breakfast.

- Quinoa Powdered fine - 1/2 cup
- Whole Oats Powdered fine - 1/2 cup
- Rice Flour - 1 table spoon
- Yogurt - 2 cups
- Green Chilies - 3
- Ginger - Small piece finely grated
- Hing
- Curry leaves & Coriander
- Salt to taste

Method:

- Mix the 3 flours (rice, Quinoa & Oats) with yogurt, salt and hing. The consistency should be very loose almost like idli batter.
- In a heavy kadai, add sesame oil and add mustard seeds, urad dhal.
- Add green chilies, curry leaves and ginger and fry for some time
- Now add the flour mixture and keep mixing it until it gets thoroughly cooked.
- Finally add chopped coriander leaves and cut the heat.
- Keep it closed for atleast 5 minutes.
- The consistency will be like upma.
