Chow Chow Poriyal
I have always made kootu with Chow chow. Got this recipe from my friend. something different to try..
Ingredients:
- Chow Chow thinly sliced - 2
- Carrot thinly sliced - 1
- Green chilies - 4
- Mustard seeds, Urad dal, Jeera
- Coconut Flakes
- 1/2 Spoon Sambar Powder (Optional)
1) Add oil to a pan and garnish with mustard, jeera and urad dal.
2) Add the sliced vegs to it sprinkle little water and close the lid.
3) Add salt & turmeric powder and saute it until cooked.
4) Add sambar powder for additional flavor (can skip if you don't like the curry to be too spicy)
5) Finally add coconut flakes and cut the heat.
